Re: Corvettes at Carlisle, 2022
I would like to thank all of the members of the Zr1 registry for their work at Corvettes at Carlisle. It was a great weekend and I?m certain the show was enjoyed by all who attended. A special thank you to Charlie for keeping everyone fed again this year with his famous pulled pork sandwiches!
We are looking forward to next years show already. Steve and Jenny 92 Bright Aqua Sent from my iPhone using ZR-1 Net Registry |
Re: Corvettes at Carlisle, 2022
It was great to see all the regulars, a few new faces only acquainted over the forum in person. Those I missed this year, there will be more Corvettes at Carlisle as years roll by.
Thanks to all those Registry crew who worked hard to keep us comfy and fed. |
Re: Corvettes at Carlisle, 2022
I got home an hour ago. Thanks to Bob Lambe, Jim Voter, Charlie Sinua for all your efforts to make mine and Tom?s first Carlisle relaxing, enjoyable and memorable. I challenge all of you to the autocross next year to go around at even a slow speed to understand the car control required. Great times and laughs at the Boomerang 🪃 too! Congrats on 2nd 🥈 place club!

Re: Corvettes at Carlisle, 2022
My 11 hour drive home went without issues, including being stuck in a 20-minute traffic crawl in 93 degree heat. Car performed flawlessly and the A/C thankfully stayed ice cold the whole drive.
Thank you for all the veteran attendees making me feel welcomed. I enjoyed getting to meet everyone, hear stories, and learn from the experienced. Looking forward to next year! Kyle Sent from my iPhone using ZR-1 Net Registry |
Re: Corvettes at Carlisle, 2022
A big thank you to everyone who celebrated Corvettes at Carlisle 2022 last week. We will do a full report in the next edition of the Heart of the Beast, but I did want to acknowledge everyone?s contributions to a funtastic event. Taking 2nd place in the club challenge was icing on the cake - spirit in the tent sure didn?t make coming 2nd feel like the first loser.
I would be remiss if I did not give a special shout out to Charlie and Jim and other WAZOO members without whose help we would not be able to pull off this event. Thanks also to Marc (ZR-1 Specialists) and Marty (Contes Corvette) for their generous donations for the auction, and to members who donated great items as well (Ray NY, Steve FL, Doug CT, Phil MD, Kyle IL, David ? (bourbon)). Thanks to their generosity, we raised more than $1,100 at the auction to help defray event costs. We have lots of pictures (some of which can be shared in public - lol) for the HOTB article this fall. Thanks again! Bob Lambe Events Sent from my iPhone using ZR-1 Net Registry |
Re: Corvettes at Carlisle, 2022
Thanks to all the above for a great time! Nice to see the old and new faces this year. Watching and hearing the ZR-1 on the auto cross course confirms there is nothing like them. Quite a car after all these years!
I will train harder this year so I can do 3 days of Carlisle and 3 nights of Boomerang's. :) |
Re: Corvettes at Carlisle, 2022
Another year at Carlisle in the books. Just wanted to say thanks to all who do the little known things like set up/tear down and storage....thanks Jim, Darren, Nelson and others from Wazoo. Appreciate all the efforts to get my fuel pump gauge working again, Jim, Phil, Yun and Louis from Contes Corvettes. The entertainment after the show at Boomerangs was outstanding. I think the staff at Boomerangs enjoyed us as much as we enjoyed them. They have already agreed to give us the entire hotel next year, guess our tips leave a lasting impression (thanks Steve)!
