1995 ZR-1
Finally had time to clean up a little. Car is a handful with an SGC 350 package with Stg I cams and 4.30 gears.

Have you tried just cranking up the tongue jack higher, while it's still hooked to the truck? It will raise the rear of your truck like it has 3" lift in the back:D But, the good part is it will drop the azz of the trailer to get the Z in without hitting. |
Re: 1995 ZR-1
wow that car is CLASS.....................
I have been thinking long and hard about gears myself. Is the 4.30 gear the best to get?? What is your opinion? Oh and are you getting an 09 ZR-1 to complete the collection?? Inquiring minds wanna know!!!!!!! |

Re: 1995 ZR-1
Thanks fellas. I love our ZR-1s. I won't be getting a new ZR1--I could get three of my favorites for one new one.
Kevin, I've figured the trailer out. The lowered yellow car is the only problem child and I might never see it again. B and M thanks for the compliments. The 4.30 gears are not the answer for me. They are too low. My 4.30 car supposedly put down 437 to the rear wheels. At 40 mph in second gear the car cannot be "floored". First gear is useless. 4.10s with a top end/head package seemed too low as well. A 40 mph roll in second was about just right. I think 3.92s would be better with a top end/head p&p. I did a post where I measured the 20-80 mph acceleration on a Vericom with a stock car with Corsas, a stock car with headers/X-pipe/B&B/chip, and my Haibeck 500hp with 4.10s. Interesting.... Ted |
