Re: 1995 ZR-1
Hey Vader,
Trailer looks real nice! I can't tell if you have a hinged door/ramp extension or not. Shoot me a picture of (1) the rear of the trailer & (2) the door laid down. If not, you can buy the door bumpers that are about 3" thick & add the extension with a full width piano hinge. The approach angle can also be helped by raising the tongue of the trailer with the tongue jack while it stays hooked onto the ball. Just jack it as high as you can without getting crazy & it will help quite a bit. If your doors don't clear the bottom of the escape door, just build enough ramp to get the doors to clear, maybe just a 2x12 (or 2) screwed to the floor. c ya, |

Re: 1995 ZR-1
All looks good. I would highly recommend that you remove the alum edge trim on the leading edge of the ramp extension. If the tires slip on the strip, it rips it off, screws & all and could damage the car. (unplesant experience talking here) It's not needed.
Are you dragging the front spoiler on entry? Even with the front of the trailer raised with the jack? Describe issues. |
Re: 1995 ZR-1
Looks exactly like my 20 foot trailer, I have no scrubbing issues when I load my 95. Could it be the angle of the street you are parking on?

Re: 1995 ZR-1
Jerry, I'll remove the strip before the next loading. The yellow car is the one I test loaded. It sits significantly lower than my others. The coilovers have the car slammed. The stock ride height cars should drive on fine. I have to "ramp" the yellow car. I think the 2x12s on the floor will help it all.
I bought my black/red car back. SGC 500hp with cams, 4.30s, fidanza, baer/GS calipers. |

Tell us more about that 93 I just saw in your post. 168 mile Ruby car deserves some attention. I heard about it from Uly and I thought Ron was getting it. Speaking of envious. Congrats. John |
Re: 1995 ZR-1
Yeah Jerry inquiring minds wanna know!!! Tell us about Ruby Z is it an early 93 with the high torque tranny? I figure that would be the most collectible of all the ZR-1's!!!
