Trying to level the playing field out, how about going for 1/4 mile MPH for everyone ? Instead of ET. Just post a good MPH number. Easy on the drive train and it will allow the less experienced get a crack at a run or two and have fun doing it.
Just trying to get some motivation going here guy's.

I like this idea. I really don't want to trailer my car all the way back to Texas since I just got it back from Corey. I am interested in running, though, depending on price.

Just curious, what would a respectable MPH be for a stock rookie in a 1/4 mile?

110 MPH would be good.

Did my first 1/4 miles run last summer in Maryland with WAZOO. Black interior was a little brownish after the first few runs but started to get the hang of it. Did 8 runs total and hit my top speed on the last one. Just missed breaking into the 12 second range. Hit 13.03 at 113.23 and then the last run at 13.407 at 115.82.

Did that with Marc's chip and Corsa exhaust. Looking forward to April 27 with WAZOO when we go to the Mason Dixon dragstrip. Will be able to try out the new Hurst short shifter.

I don't understand why the club could not just borrow/gift Frank or whoever the money and each person drag racing pays it back to the club.

Frank,where do i send payment.

Liability...is why the club can't touch drag racing officially or even at a finger length - at least not as it stands. HOWEVER, if some one or group of y'all want to arrange racing w/ the Beach Bend people on your own - totally apart from anything associated with the club, that would be your business.

I'd offer to put it on my credit card, but a work stoppage nix'ed that. Well, I have to keep my powder dry now. Even my BG trip looks pretty "iffy" at this point. But, perhaps someone else might consider a similar arrangement so drag racing could take place w/o the club's involvement? Hope so!

Workin on it with Mr. JVD , who will be hosting his southern Kentucky BBQ.......and will do everything we can to not let anyone down guy's.

1- There is NO liability, and you know that Paul. Do you sign a waver when drag racing ? You race at your own risk.

2- When someone rent's the track. They rent the entire track and do as they please with it. There is no sneaking in etc. (cough). This is how business is done with gentelmen like Dallas.

Update 3/26 Look's like we have the track from 1-4pm on Thursday 5/16/2013. We can get the track for a longer period of time , but I see no need too.

Based on the current number of participants, what would the cost be per car?
