Update....

80% of people are asking about A.I.R tubes and we will know Monday. (lots more information coming out then)

Anyone on the fence, speak now!

The discount will only be offered once (that was confirmed).

This thread is getting so big...But, was there an answer on the A.I.R. accommodation? I feel I will need the capability to reinstall the system, should I move to CO or somewhere else where they would be required (not in IL - OBD-I, apparently!)

ok Members....

A.I.R. tubes are included with every sale (due to the huge response).

Gaskets are not included with the purchase (use your originals / they will fit).

I'm trying to get Stainless to extend the discount until Corvettes of Carlisle(Aug 23rd)......

Any questions, post here or PM me (Jim is back from his Vacation)

Re: ZR1registry Group buy (Stainless Works Headers)

Thanks Dave!

I'll take a set of headers with the A.I.R. tubes & O2 bungs, and the heat coating!

If they sell specific s/s works exhaust gaskets as an option, please include a set with my order....this way I don't have to chase down parts. I like one stop shopping!

You have my CC info still, right?

Thank you to Jim and you for helping all of us out with this package!:worship:

tom

Dave put me in for a wide band O2 bung(s) also on my set.....if that is possible.

Can't remember if it was mentioned. But it might be a good idea to get a 2nd O2 bung on one or both sides for a wideband. Better to have it done before they are coated, so the coating doesn't have to be stripped to weld the bung on later. :)

Do not reuse your stock gaskets. They are a graphite impregnated material and more than likely will be severely damaged after removal.

Can we order these with out the air injection crap?

STAINLESS WORKS HEADERS

HELLO GENTLEMEN

AS FAR AS THE EGR AIR TUBES GO.

WE CAN ADD THEM OR MANUFACTURE THE HEADERS WITHOUT THEM. NO EXTRA CHARGE EITHER WAY.

THE HEADERS WITH EGR AIR TUBES WILL HAVE A 308 TIG WELDED STAINLESS STEEL FEEDER LINE WITH A HIGH TEMP AIR HOSE CONNECTOR WITH ALL HARWARE INCLUDED.

PLEASE EMAIL ME AT JIMSTAINLESSWORKS@WINDSTREAM.NET TO GET ALL THE LATEST UPDATES ON THE SYSTEM.

WE HAVE BOLT ON HEADERS FOR FACTORY EXHAUSTS AND ANY AFTERMARKET EXHAUST THAT FITS THE FACTORY CONNECTION POINT. WE ALSO HAVE A VERY NICE BIG H.P. PRODUCING SET OF HEADERS THAT GO TO OUR NEW 3" EXHAUST.

WE HAVE EXHAUSTS IN 3' TO FIT YOUR MANIFOLDS TOO !!!

JUST LET ME KNOW WHAT YEAR AND WHAT EXHAUST COMPONENTS YOU HAVE ON YOUR VETTE RIGHT NOW AND I CAN DIRECT YOU TO THE APPLICATION YOU NEED.

THE WHOLESALE FORUM SPECIAL WILL CONTINUE FOR JUST A LITTLE WHILE LONGER.

AFTER THAT THE ESTABLISHED RETAIL PRICES WILL BEGIN. THIS IS A REQUIREMENT OF OUR DEALER PROGRAM AND CONTRACT.

IF YOU HAVE EVER THOUGHT ABOUT GETTING A LIFETIME STAINLESS STEEL SYSTEM........... THIS IS THE WEEK TO DO IT.

ALSO..... TELL ME WHAT YOUR PERFORMANCE NEEDS ARE. WE CAN HELP.

MANY THANKS

JIM WATSON

Re: ZR1registry Group buy (Stainless Works Headers)

MANY OF OUR CUSTOMERS DO USE THEIR FACTORY ORIGINAL GASKETS WHEN INSTALLING OUR HEADERS.

YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT ABOUT THE NEED TO HANDLE THEM WITH EXTREME CARE . ANY RIPS OR COMPROMISE WILL IN FACT CREATE A HUGE LEAK.

WE DO NOT PROVIDE GASKETS WITH OUR SYSTEMS.

GASKETS ARE LIKE BEER.........EVERYBODY HAS THEIR FAVORITE BRAND NAME THEY SWEAR BY.

WE TRIED IT ONCE AND NO TWO PEOPLE WANTED THE SAME KIND.

NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ANY HARDWARE NECESSARY TO INSTALL THE SYSTEM IS INCLUDED OTHER THAN GASKETS OR BOLTS (ANOTHER PERSONAL PREFERENCE ITEM).

EXHAUST SYSTEMS HAVE EVRYTHING YOU WILL NEED.

EVERYTHING IS A DIRECT BOLT ON SO NO WELDING/CUTTING/MODIFYING WILL BE NEEDED.

IF YOU DO USE YOUR USED GASKETS................BE CAREFUL AND INSPECT THEM WELL.

BUYING A NEW SET OF GASKETS MAY BE LESS STRESSFUL THAN PUTTING YOUR HEADERS ON TWICE!!!!

Re: ZR1registry Group buy (Stainless Works Headers)

Jim wanted me to add as well this regarding bolts (thanks Tom for his input)

MODFORDBOLTS or equivalent, which are shorter than some of the very long manifold bolts. They are (16) 8mm bolts x 1.25 long with 8mm washers.

Time frame on the headers will be much faster than anticipated.... They will have all systems out in the next 2 weeks!!!!!!!!!!

Per Jim:

THE GREEN HOSE IS THE EGR AIR TUBE FITTING.

IT IS A HIGH TEMP FLEXIBLE HOSE THAT IS MANUFACTURED FOR THE EXPRESSED PURPOSE

Re: ZR1registry Group buy (Stainless Works Headers)

Aye, Aye Capt'n.......

http://www.zr1products.com/products.html this is a link to a complete install kit @ DRM......not sure if gaskets are included, sorry:redface:

http://www.zr1netregistry.com/forum/...ead.php?t=5726 This is from one of our member's research into just bolts.

I would like to say something as just a fwiw.....firstly a big thanks to Dave & Jim and the crew @ SSW for putting this deal together.....

Secondly, I'm gonna contact our own Jeff, aka Jeffvette, and see what his install kits are about. I personally would rather spend the $ in the Brotherhood if I am spending it....I just would rather support some one that supports us.....JMHO......what do you guys think about this subject?

:happy1:

Tom

Just a FYI Jeff's kits: http://www.zr1netregistry.com/forum/...ead.php?t=6214
