Dodge Demon Easter Eggs explained:
http://www.roadandtrack.com/car-show...n-easter-eggs/ http://roa.h-cdn.co/assets/17/15/980...vidcdc4bce.jpg "This one all depended on your age," Kuniskis said. "If you were under 40, you thought it was a hashtag; if you were over 40 it was a pound sign." Chalk one up for the older folks: "The license plate tells you what the weight transfer is—2576 lbs is what's required to transfer to the rear to teeter-totter this car and lift the front end," Kuniskis said. The 35? That's how high the car lifts its front wheels, in inches, on launch, as verified by Guinness Book. http://a57.foxnews.com/images.foxnew....jpg?ve=1&tl=1 |
Re: New Dodge Demon
You have to admit that last shot is some pretty cool S--T....How much is the horsepower of a scat pack dodge,500?......300 more horsepower......Now that's a huge gain....
|
Re: New Dodge Demon
Its not how high it lifts them...it is how far it carries them down the track in the air.

Re: New Dodge Demon
It's amazing how much horsepower they can put into production cars today ..Was technology so anemic back in 1990 that the ZR-1 can only muster 375 horse? I know what many will say,375 was a lot for 1990....
Considering a base challenger I'm guessing puts out 450-500 horse, a 300-350 jump in horse to the Demon is incredible.. Back in 90 I believe a standard Vette got you 245 horse....The ZR-1 got you 375...Not a big difference by today's standards.. |
Re: New Dodge Demon
That power comes from a 2.7 liter supercharger if there where a way to rig that large of a supercharger on an lt5 and be able to tune it right I'm sure you would be looking at over 1000hp.

Gotta hand it to Dodge....That's one mean looking muscle car especially with the wide fender flares on the rear and the blacked out hoods... |
Re: New Dodge Demon
Most will go to collectors or weathy pop singer movie stars and such that have to have the fastest newest of everything. I'm sure they will all be marked up in a scramble for them.

Re: New Dodge Demon
I'm sure I saw a pic. on this forum of a red C4 ZR-1 that pulled the front wheels at launch. Not "Fastlane", but a lightly modded Texas car.
Anybody else remember that? Or am I fantasizing again? :icon_scra BTW, that NHRA ban is pure marketing. What they mean is, you gotta run a cage if you run 9.60's. According to Dodge, to do those times you've got to use 110 octane gas, and press a button to automatically change programming. Thanks Geoff Jeal, |

I wanna see what happens when these Dodge cars are in 110octane mode and someone fills er up with 87 octane. Wonder if the knock sensors save the day. The Dodge sure would smell good with a tank full of 110 octane. |
