It was great seeing everyone last night. This truly is a brotherhood. Loved Mike's car. BTW, I am now an official member of the registry. Looking forward to getting my t-shirt.

Perhaps ???
North East Disciples of the Z
or
North East Heart of the Beast
or
Heart of the Beast North East
or
North East Z Owners Organization
(with due respect to WAZOO and Tom Tom for coining it 1st)

Scott,
I think I have a tag - how about FOG (fat, old guys.) Just a thought seeing as we will be adding ice cream to our Tues. cuisine. When we arrive at a cruise folks will say "The FOG is rolling in". Is this how "Hell's Angels" was conceived?

Welcome, Bob. Great meeting you and checking out your fine red on red.
I'm a short timer, and I think you already appreciate the organization as I do. Enjoy your ride along with us.

FOG rules!
I have a bow-flex - it's a great place to dry socks and unmentionables.

How is this one: BONE

Beasts of the North East

Mystic ZR-1 08-04-2011 10:03 AM

Re: Burgerittoville!

I like it!

I vote for BONE "Beasts Of the North East

Damn, Scott you're clever!!!

andersra 08-04-2011 11:46 AM

Re: Burgerittoville!

I was all for F.O.G., as it describes me pretty well (but I want to change at least the F. part of that), until I saw B.O.N.E. I like that and vote for it. I can't wait to tell my wife I am a B.O.N.E.

Re: Burgerittoville!

There are quite a few things we can do with BONE....if somebody sells their ZR-1 or leaves our group....we could call them a BONE Reject....work on that one for a minute....

ZRapid-1 08-04-2011 12:18 PM

Re: Burgerittoville!

Let me offer another option for the name:

NEZOG

North East ZR-1 Owners Group

It has a nice sound and is very descriptive!

andersra 08-04-2011 12:33 PM

Re: Burgerittoville!

or a "BONEhead".

Michael Beal 08-04-2011 08:20 PM

Re: Burgerittoville!

I'm gravitating toward BONE but I'm fearful of it's scatalogical implications - we don't want to the object of derision. Keep the creative juices flowing!

Or they're de-boned?........:p

Michael Beal 08-05-2011 07:49 AM

Re: Burgerittoville!

I have too much Beavis & Butthead in me - wish to avoid being called a boner.
Hows about: Zr-1
Owners
North
East ?
Then we could be in the zone instead of being in ZFOG (ZR-1 Fat Old Guys.)

Okay, I have some info on that charity event this Sunday that Lou is doing.

It's for the Greenwich Boys and Girls Club. This Sunday in their parking lot at the club house building in Greenwich ( Exit 3 off 95 ), start time is 9AM till whenever.

I know this is way short notice, but if you're out & about in your Z come on by and hang out with me & Lou.....I may even clean my car really well for this after all it's Greenwich!

Lou is e-mailing me a flyer and I'll post more when I get it!

Just add "Region" to the above name.

Great Bob, just want I want to be known as....

and here I was, driving to pick my son up last night, when I heard "Bad to the Bone" on the radio and thought..."BONE must be the right name". Now I'm not so sure.....

Maybe we should reverse it and call it NEBO - North East Beast Owners....lots of ideas here, I'm sure we will agree on one of them......

Hey, if nothing else, the name game gives us a reason to get together and chat.

Michael Beal 08-05-2011 06:20 PM

Re: Burgerittoville!

Maybe - "North East Beasts" (I'm still partial to ZONE - ZR-1 Owners North East)

 Tom & whatever the NE Z crew decides to name itself, we have a rain date for next Sunday. Gives all those a second shot @ being able to make this who were tied up today. Tom, thanks again for all your help. We will need a day to relax after building the shed on Sat. I like BONE. Doug, if you can get down this way I can get you a pass to get into Greenwich.

Re: Burgerittoville!

Well, if it doesn't rain this Tuesday night I say we call a meeting of the Northeast section, at the usual place and time at Burgerrittoville, to discuss the name and other pressing NE business like the car show schedule and the Vintage Races at Lime Rock that are pending.

What say the rest of the membership?

Tuesday night 50% chance of T-storms @ Newtown in the late afternoon....hummmm. We play it by ear? 6PM start time, right Scott?

Looks like T'storms tommorrow. Doubt I will make it.

Don't want to drive 3 hours each way in a rainstorm.

Sorry

Mystic ZR-1 08-08-2011 06:12 PM

Re: Burgerittoville!

I'll be there, weather dependant... Either way I'll be in my R-32 (VW) my daily driver... actually the R-32's more rare than the ZR Note: I didn't say better but it is a real unique piece, 3.2L 24 valve 15 degree VR6, variable valve timing on intake & exhaust, 241 hp, 6 speed all wheel drive, ABS disc brakes bigger than the Z, traction control, adjustable Bilsteins, dual mode exhaust, no wings/spoilers/coffee cans, no bright colors etc, Euro version goes 155mph but the US cars are factory chipped to 130 (ask me how I know...) it's a real sleeper compared to the WRXs and EVOs, less than 5000 built, it really scoots, but not anything like the Z. It's also "adult" (?) driven (not to worry, I'll park it a respectable distance away from the "cruise" cars, wear a jacket over my Registry t-shirt and pretend it belongs to someone else) ...at least it's not a ricer... and I'm probably the oldest person on the planet to own one...

is someone gonna make the last minute decision? I usually leave Mystic by 4:30 to get there around 6
Doug

Looks like iffy weather at best. We now show a 50% chance of thunderstorms.....let's shoot for next week rather than take a chance on bad weather tonight.

Bummer.

I will try to make the Greenwich show this Sunday...anybody else going?

 I'm going to the Greenwich show this weekend.

I still do not know what I'm doing for Friday at Carlisle, Scott. My property manager just got back from vacation. I'll bring up the subject after I do something to make a headache from my building go away. Usually my requests are better received if I make like advil. :p

I may try to go to Greenwich too, not 100% sure yet though. If not, at least next Tuesday. I need to show off my new Tshirt.
