Re: gauging interest: modified exhaust
Thanks for the car-driving offers guys. :) But I've heard them on several Z's, been for a ride in Jim's car (no headers though I don't believe?), and of course I have a Corsa system on the Aurora.
I have no doubt they will cure the cruise annoyance. I just think at WOT they sound a bit rough on the Z's, like straight pipes a bit. And I prefer less bling, so the stainless tips don't do it for me. I like the rough flat black of stock. :) But if it's between annoying highway trips or not my fave look or sound, I'd probably go with not my fave look or sound. I am in no rush, but I'll probably be picking up a set. |
Re: gauging interest: modified exhaust
Dominic, thanks for the pictures. It's great to know there's another system out there with low resonance. But I just can't get past that look. To me they look out of place, they don't tuck up at all and the tips are way oversized for the opening. Maybe I need to see it in person, but in pictures it doesn't do it for me.
This is the one I first saw it on. Maybe it's the camera angle/distance but it looks sort of cartoonish: http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...IMG_0692-1.jpg The tires on that car and the exhaust both look way too big for it. |
