Tell me about it, its even cheaper in France and Switzerland now - ours works out $7.35 for a US gallon. Why do ya think all us Brits are looking to emigrate out of this pathetic Blair rip off state??.............rant over..........and breathe;)

That's just one of many reasons why we left! Wouldn't go back for anything.

Have they started taxing breathing there yet?

Not 100% sure yet but quite likely France of all places. (a few years ago I never thought I would say that). They love motor racing, love Corvettes, have the smoothest roads, not too far from the autobahns and some of our friends have already gone out there. There was a posiblilty of the states this year through my wife's work (GMAC) but it wasn't somewhere either of us really wanted to go and I'm not too sure about the US with this annual visa renewal we are hearing so much about in some of the press overhere. Canada's nice too, I was very nearly born and raised there but my fathers mother was taken ill and so my parent cancelled their plans and stayed in the UK.

I want somewhere that has a summer!! I find we wish 2/3's of our lives away here waiting for a summer that very often never comes. Its no the cold its the constant damp drizzle. I want to live somewhere where I can go about my daily work without being tracked by CCTV, number plate readers, speed cameras 24 hours a day and constantly being picked on beacause I have a car. A place where decent people still have greater rights than criminals and are left alone to get on with their lives. Where propaganda and press spin does not make policy.

Somewhere I can go and fly without it costing me a fortune in plane rental, landing fees, fuel surcharge, and ofcourse more tax

Boy thats depressing, I'm going out to the garage to tinker about on the Z
