It was over 10 yrs ago but I replaced my fuel pump through a Chev dealer...turns out the part number for the 1991 ZR-1 pump and the Suburban are exactly the same..go figure. Price was a lot less. Who know the part may still be OEM available??

I pulled the fuel pumps from my Z and put them on the bench. they were dead. So now it is confirmed.

Roy,
The pumps on Ebay are not a bad deal. Plus they are from a member which I think is a plus.
When you have the sending unit out, be sure and get one of the billet "Y"s that Carter makes. I have had the original plastic one develop a crack. Use stainless worm clamps and submersible fuel line also.

I take it that Carter is online. Never heard of them.

Here's pics of the hose (you will need 5/16 & 3/8) Carter's "Y" and my unit when complete.

Why are there two different sizes for the hoses?
