Thanks for starting the thread George. Also thanks to you and the others for your service.

Retired US Army 1982-2010 and still serving proudly as a civil servant. PCSing more now than I ever did while on active duty, but loving every minute of it.

4 years in the Navy serving on a Guided Missile Frigate (DLG-30) as a (Gun) firecontrol (radar) tech FTG2, (69-73). Member of the "Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club". Fondest memory of the service was the schooling the Navy provided me - found my niche in electronics which launched my carrier in civilian life.

Just a short 4 year stint. But, looking back, the experiences, the things I saw, places I visited...it was the most intense period in my life!

USAF 88-91. Got my balls busted for turning 18 in basic. Crew Chief on a 141B at McGuire AFB. Great experience, should have stayed in!
