Did you finish Ed's header installtion? It was too cold for me, my sling would not go over my winter jacket.

I am sorry you weren't able to make it Nelson. We missed you.
With the help of a fabulous WAZOO team of avid ZR-1 guys we successfully completed the header and exhaust installation. Thanks to Yun, Rich, Charlie, Bob, and Matt for all you help. Jim |

Re: WMD - Saturday 21 March 2015 - Header Installation
Sorry that I couldn't make it out yesterday... I've got two of the three kids and a soccer tournament going on this weekend. Wish that I could have seen what's involved in a header/exhaust install!

Let me know if you are going to be around this week and if you want to meet up for me to pay you for the filters... or if you would rather wait until the next WMD. Hopefully we'll get together at least once in April/May before making the trip to MR3/BG. Scott |

Re: WMD - Saturday 21 March 2015 - Header Installation
sorry I missed this,
I'd like to do a wazoo day before bg if possible 1. rad clean, check on seeping samco hoses (constant coolant smell) based on the recent traffic, another hose clamp or two on some of the hoses that are too small to begin with !!! also, if anyone needs them I have a factory hose set but I'm too d@mn stubborn and want to fix the samco issue 2. bigger fans. I have a dewitts fan kit that is supposed to pull more cfm than the factory fans to pull through the larger (thicker) cooling stack./ this should cure the temp creep problem. the stroker zr1s all tend to slowly run hot at idle with the ac on due to the fans not being able to pull the air efficiently and with enough flow to cool the car. this isn't typically a problem with stock displacement and stock rad cars as the factory rad is half the width of the big aftermarket rads with the exception of the fluidyne which I believe may also be the solution as many would attest but where the heck do I get one! It would be nice to upgrade the zr1 and cascade the rad I have in the LSV now down to the C3 which hopefully will get a BB I know it's not a ZR-1 but if you all would consider a BB swap wazoo I'd make it worth everyones time I've done engine swaps by myself and seen the light on that one~! not sure if I can make bg, some of these little maint chores and selling a thing or two is a prerequisite however, I DO plan to be a pit crew member at Indy this year which I will do a write up on for the registry a good friend has a 2010 "unrestricted" indy car (blow off valve which limits boost is bolted shut so he has a boost controller that can go beyond even qualifying setups). He'll be chasing Al Unser in some parade laps. I'll be helping him start and prep the car if I can swing it. should be pretty cool.:fahne: |
