Y rated for 186mph and 280 AA/A which is the highest traction you can get. I get tired of hearing the plugs for Nittos and Sport pilots without any mention of the tire that is their fiercest competition for far less. The price on them has been going up steadily since their introduction and won't be cheap forever but they are more than worth mentioning while they are half the price of the tire rack darlings.

Best tire and best deal available. I have bought 3 sets of these and they are wonderful. Y rated, great wet weather and overall weather tire. wont break the bank and look great. No other tire compares expecially its price point. edramos #3028

I was looking for the Vreds because they looked like a great bargain. Unfortunately, at the time, they didn't make any sizes to fit my 18/19" Z06 wheels. Can't comment on them. I do find the Invos to be very good in both wet and dry, and even tho they're not DRs, they do a nice job on the drag strip.

I also ran a set of Vredisteins for a few years very good ride & handling, well balanced tire two took less than 1/2oz weights. The only down side is they are not as wide as say GS-3s by about an inch. I still have mine just took them off this year with 15k miles on them still have 50% tread left.

The only reason I took them off was I got a great deal on some GS-3s. If I can find a set of wheels I will use them for winter driving. Here is a rear view of both.

1. Total for ALL four tires (two FRONT and two REAR) $704 with free shipping.
2. Tires arrived 3 days after ordered from Discount Tire
3. Took new tires and rims with old tires to local Discount Tire.
4. Discount Tire removed old tires and installed new tires on rims (Left and Right).
5. Cost to install two front and two rear new tires including balancing was $15 each tire.
6. Confirmed tire balance at 120 mph with zero vibration at any speed 0 - 120 mph.
7. Absolutely the best balanced tires I have ever had.

8. Tires (some helpful hints from Marc Haibeck)
a. There are four or more brands available for the ZR-1. Sumitomo, Kumho, Nitto, Vredestein, etc.
b. Sumitomo's may flat spot when cold because there is one nylon cord. They will thump for about the first five miles when cold.
c. Kumho's racing tires are excellent.
d. The Nitto NT 555 provides 95% of the performance of the Goodyear D3 at about 60% of the price. The soft thread on the NT 555R wears out in about 20k miles.
e. The Tire Rack does not sell Nitto. Discount Tire has them Discount Tire.
f. AFS Wheels sells Vredestein tires Vredestein. AFS Wheels are the same as "Cleanin-out-the-garage" on Ebay. Cleanin-out-the-garage has Lots of information on Vredestein Sessanta tires on Ebay Vredestein Tires.

I noticed that about the sizing, too. I'm running Invos on another vehicle and like them so that's the way I'll go. Would like to run 285/30/18 fronts and 335/30/18 rears,if possible.
Might even buy Ron's 19" CCW's and go that route.

No drag radials for me.

I have the Z06 sizes on my wheels. Altho the Z06 guys will run a 345 on the rear and stock is a 325. As it is, I get a slight rub on the inner wheel well on the passenger rear wheel. It only happens on a severe, abrupt dip but I can smell rubber and can see the rub mark. Not so on the driver's side. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that the C4 rear ends were not symmetrical. Passenger side rear is tucked in just a bit more than driver's. Guess I could go w a slightly thicker spacer for the passenger side.
