I'm 53, 2 years in with my 90 Z, my 6th Vette and my absolute favorite!

I still enjoy spirited driving (especially in the mountains) with both Vettes, altho I sense that shifting gears is becoming more difficult (and slower). Perhaps it's time to look at a newer Vette with the 8 spd paddle shifters.

My mom recently passed away at the age of 98+ and she would still have been driving were it not for macular degeneration (both eyes). One of my goals is to approach her tenacity for enjoying life to the fullest for many years to come.

How are you these days? Despite being the OP of this thread, I am not able to change the age groups since it was before I had quit and rejoined the Registry. I agree it would have been better with more 10 year increment options. Maybe some Moderator with Admin roles can do so. I had no idea this thread would still be alive, nor did I think I would have this car this long.

My condolences about your mom's recent passing and WOW, she did great at 98. My parents are 87 and 84 and I can't imagine at my dad's age of 87 I would be driving this ZR-1.

First ZR-1 at 46 you can now move my number to 60+

62, have had my ZR-1 for 4 years. First Corvette was yellow '72. Followed by 40th anniversary, 2006 Z51 (nicely modified!), 2010 ZR1 and finally my '91 ZR-1. Also have a '51 Chevy truck in middle of frame up "Rod-Storation"..

The first time I responded to this thread I was 46 years old. Now I'm 54! My how time flies!

I didn't even look at how old the thread was. Should have known since there were 19 pages of replies.. was interesting to look at though.. I didn't have #473 in 2009..
