Re: Carlisle August 24-27, 2017 Who is IN?
Hello,
John, Matt, Dillon and Jack Glyder will be there with 3 ZR-1s. Looking forward to seeing everyone again this year. |
Re: Carlisle August 24-27, 2017 Who is IN?
I am really looking forward to Corvettes at Carlisle. It will be great to see everyone again and to meet a lot of folks new to the ZR-1 community.
Once again, this year at Carlisle the ZR-1 Net Registry will conduct some LT5 maintenance demonstrations. I am looking for a volunteer who wants to have their plenum pulled so that we can demonstrate the operation of the Secondaries. While we have access we will inspect the system for vacuum leaks and other problems. We can replace ignition coils or spark plug wires if you provide those parts. I will do the work and install new plenum gaskets and I guarantee that we will get it back together. Contact me by PM or at jim@gizmosart.com if you are interested. Jim Voter |

The map is updated now. The end of IM and IL now lists the Registry.

I have always dutifully entered the Fun-field through Gate 3 for many years.
Must we enter via Gate 3, or do you know if we can enter via Gate 5? Three requires driving all the way into town, around and back up to 3. Five looks like you turn right off of route 11 somewhere and head towards the gate. Don't want to try it and get turned away, and have to double back. Thanks for your thoughts / experience. Marty |

There is a back way as you mentioned, but I can't remember it....must be the age..... Anyway, how many are going on Thursday and going right to the Fairgrounds in the AM? I intend to get an early start, even though there will be traffic on the pike westbound, but once you get past 476 and then past Valley Forge, it should be fine!!! I just filled up the Z and am ready. I will also have my Tech 1 with me, so if anyone has an interest in checking out the parameters on your LT5, just let me know. I do have the Master Cartridge installed for all of the ZR-1 years, at least that what the cartridge has on it.....lol Safe travels everyone, looking forward to next week!!! |
Re: Carlisle August 24-27, 2017 Who is IN?
There's a back way into the fairgrounds on Calvary Rd.
Not sure if it's gate 5 or even open all the time? But, I have come in that way before. Part of it's a dirt road. Comes in on top of the hill. Gate 3 works fine if ya get there early. Use google maps to find your way around the usual traffic. |

Perhaps we could meet at the first rest stop past Valley Forge? Let me know, I could follow you and risk getting dag on my windshield..... Marty |
