Software to change speedometer signal
Does anybody has a software or know how to change the original set-up of the signal which runs from the transmission to the ECM/CCM?
As I've changed my rear end to another ratio, I'll need to modify my present system for correct MPH reading. I know there are some additional convertors/gear sets on the market, but I would prefer to alter the existing software if possible. If somebody might have an idea, would be great! Thanks Thomas |

Only thing that is available is the speedo correction box, which you splice into the existing wires and program it.

Re: Software to change speedometer signal
Sorry to dig up this old thread...
My question is to Jeff, Have you used the Cyberdyne box? If so how well did it work? I just changed to 4.10 gears and bought a Cyberdyne box. When I hook it up, the speedo just sits there at zero and eventually the "service engine soon" light comes on. When I remove the box all is OK. I'm calling Cyberdyne in the morning. Any thoughts? H

Re: Software to change speedometer signal
Why wouldn't you change speedo gear in trans?
When I installed a ZF-6 in my 84, I also used 3.45 gears in rear. Just need right combo of drive and ring gear. |

Re: Software to change speedometer signal
Gears are $120 from Haibeck not to mention the labor involved. The Cyberdyne calibration box was $49 and is precisely adjustable. (assuming I can get it working)
