Default Crankcase Evacuation System for LT-5 !

Advantages and disadvantages for Lt5 !? meaning that its 415-427 cid, plus Turbo, or without it!
Is it possible ? if not , why not?

I'm relatively sure you DONT want to try this system on anything but an open header, gas ported, race motor. I've never had it work decent on anything else. The backpressure kills the vacumn needed to make this work.

do you think the pressure in crankcase during high-rpm ,with Lt5 engine say 427 cid+Turbo will be same as stock lt5??
engine like low pressure build-up in crankcase! more pressure=more heat!
less intake charge contamination!

my first try was too long & i got auto logged out so i'm going to shorten this up . at WOT there is not enough draw to do anything. maybe two or three inches tops, & thats with open headers forget about getting even close to that much with mufflers. if you were going to do that deal you'd need to put another reed , check valve, into the plenum & Y it into a hose going to a collector. then you'd have some good draw at idle & part throttle. again you couldn't use that with mufflers though because over time oil will accumulate in the mufflers & burn off when it got hot enough, smoke. i've never been a big fan of PCV type systems but they work better than most people give them credit for.

electric vac. pumps would seem to be the answer for a lot of reasons. i have them in some of my customer's cars & they work great. the downsides? they draw a LOT of elec. power & i've had a few i've sent back for warrenty twice. i'm not sure if oil mist is getting into the pumps & killing them or what, shouldn't be but i can't say for sure, they keep sending me new ones. of coarse oil mist in a belt driven pump is welcomed for lubrication & vane sealing. if i was put on the spot, i'd say, right now electric pumps are more for short duration usage. in a perfect world they have some positives, no doubt about it.
