Default Heater Blower

My heater blower continues to run when the ignition is switched off ?
Is it the resistor or relay. Can anybody advise. I have removed the resistor which could have been getting hotter than expected.
Regards
Pat

Its the Blower motor resister control module thats on the firewall next to the blower motor. This controls the speed of the motor and the attached squirrel cage. Since the motor contines to run after the key is off the resister on the control module is fried. Not a ZR-1 specific part so any C4 replacement for your model year should work. GC

Hi,
The new heater blower resistor cured the problem with the blower fan staying on. Thanks ! Now the INFL / REST ( inflatable restraint) warning light is on, also the red logo in the instrument panel.
Can you advise please.
Regards,
Pat.

Pat, was it the fan only? I had issues where the CC display would not shut off, even with the key removed from the ignition. It resulted in a no start.

Best we could come up with was that something was keeping the CC live. This in turn would not allow the starter to engage. We push start the car, or unplug the fuse for the CC and the car would run fine. After the car was started, we could plug the fuse back in and all was ok. Not sure if it was rain related or not. It was pouring when it happened.
