Hello Matt B, It is not a stupid question at all. My wife, parents, and friends do not understand either. I am a DOD civilian and move around more often than when I was active duty in the Army. I have a home in Japan and one in Hawaii, but I am retiring in Japan where the Z lives now. I hear you as I fell in love with Japan the first time I did temporary duty there.

Nice collection of toys you have. Love the S6s or any of the S Line. After retirement I want the Mercedes AMG Shooting Brake since my wife loves wagons and I love performance.

Very nice, I can imagine live in Japan being sort of special but very satisfying.

Unfortunately Audi is not what it used to be back in the days. If you ever get the chance to acquire one of those S6 models (interestingly it's also a "C4" according to the model line) this is one of the best cars Audi ever made. If treated well these will last forever, no matter if with legendary inline 5 turbo or V8 engine. It's a classic that was state of the art when I bought it.
You will love the AMG, they're engines are handbuilt masterpieces!

Thanks for your thoughts. There are pros and cons to everywhere, but I guess we all know it when a special feeling tells you this is the place to hang your hat as your final abode.

I have only owned my 11 Audi A3 Sportback 1.4T (entry level at best) but I do love the car and can only imagine how the higher end performance Audis are. I see why you are never letting your S6 go. The Germans do build great machines regardless of Audi, BMW, or MB. The MBs are an easy sell to my wife since she had them before I met her and I?ll call it her car. [emoji38] I figured splurge in retirement and get the car I?ve always wanted before leaving this earth and turning to dust. I want to have performance while I can still drive it and make use of the car?s potential.

Other than the two 1990 ZR1s...2018 Charger Hellcat and a 1978 Beechcraft Bonanza A36.
The A36 is getting ready to go to a new family and we are going to move into a 2002 Beechcraft Baron B58...
