Default My old car.

The guy I sold my 78 Silver Anniversary to 18 years ago brought it in to my brothers body shop to have them do a little buffing on it today. I sold it to him with 22,000 miles and it now has 29,000 on it. Other than a few rock chips it stills looks as good now as it did then. It is an automatic L48 that was 352 crank horsepower when I sold it to him and also has a red interior which along with black was less common than the oyster color.

I miss the car but at least I sold it to a car guy.

It does make you feel better to know that the next owner cared for it like you did.

It does indeed! I have a soft spot for the 78 Pace Car too. I still love that color scheme on a C3. I'd just have to find a way to replace that "wavy" rear spoiler. Even the barn find with less than 100 miles that showed up at Corvette Mike's a year or two ago was affected. it's kind of like our delam issue; if it's going to happen, it will occur regardless of whether it is exposed to the sun and heat or tucked away in a climate controlled environment like the '95 at NCM which has some of the worst delamination I have seen.

352 crank horsepower? I guess you did some work to that L-48.....

My L-48 motor sits on a stand in my garage for the past 12 years......Reliable motor the L-48 but a total slug......Nice car, very low mileage....

When I bought it from the original owner he had done all the motor work to the car and he gave me all the take off parts which I passed on to the current owner.
He had done cam and lifters, heads, intake and carb, ignition and complete exhaust including headers.
It was a quick car for what it was but nothing like my LT5!
