Just updating what I have been doing. I finally got started pulling apart the car and everything is going pretty well. I will finish up the rockers, rear hatch and a few pieces of trim and take the whole mess to the shop next week. I just get a little sick messing with a car like this, as I pulled it apart I had to look hard for any flaw or evidence of past work but it really is an untouched example. As nice as it is i am still very excited to get the yellow color on the car.

Sometimes something that's sanded completely flat doesn't look right. A very nice job that's got a touch of peel looks better. You can look at a new high end car and even though it looks flat from a short distance up close it's got some orange peel to it. When the time comes I will paint my car the color I want. Another option the O.P. could have looked at was buy a really nice 91-93 and put a 90 bumper and body side molding on it.

Don't forget the Callaway Aerobody if you're going to change the color

My LM has no orange peel in the paint.

Considering the car I would think not.

You've got the base car that you like and have all the problems sorted out.
And you'll have brand new paint - with no scratches, chips or dings.

This would have been a great choice in the past:
Sold for $25K

• 1 of 23 made in Yellow
• Painted roof and glass roof panels
• 4,786 miles

Yellow/Black = My absolute favorite combo!

Black/black-red = #2

Red/black-red = #3 (what I have now).
