But im perfectly happy with removable cats. Having a loud exhaust system doesn't bother me since I only drive it once a week so its not an issue. Then a tune. And that's all im going to do to this car. If the car dynos between 390 to 400rwhp then Im cool with that.
Yeah, but my exhaust sounds younger then you

Rick, 2 mufflers $200,SW X-pipe $300,used C6ZO6 mufflers $100-$200
Used B&B system for $300 (Marc H.)cut B&B mufflers (sell them) install Dynomax mufflers with C6ZO6 vacuum flappers and tips, done.

A bit pricey but worth it.

Pete,

Just picked up the pieces to do this system. Got my Z06 tips today and the DynoMax 17228 Ultramax muffs. So I'll have very nice MFlow muffs for sale.

Thanks a lot Pete! Just when I thought I was going to chill on mods and spending for awhile. Now you have me thinking............

My X pipe is on the way and now might be a good time to whack off the B&B mufflers and do like you suggested, hmmmmmmmmmm. Something else for me to ponder.

Anyone interested, amazon has a sale on the Dynomax muffs for $87 each and free shipping. These are SS w 3" center inlet and 2 2 1/2" outlets. You supply your own tips. Part # is 17228.

Curious to see what difference they make on your car, Dom, especially since we both have the same Magnaflow muffs. I LIKE the sound of the MFs, but as far as the Dynamax route goes, I'm thinking Marc's approach might be worth considering as well. (Marc has flanges on his muffs, so he can "quick disconnect" and remove/reinstall his muffs before/after drag racing. Pretty cool idea.)

Paul,

As far as I am concerned, I really like the whole MFlow catback system. It did a good job on 474 and not too shabby on the ROZA NERO. But since I have removed the resonator, I wanted to tame some of the resonance the SW Xpipe introduces, altho not as bad as the B+B IMO. Since I would use the Z06 tips w flapper valve, I thought I would install the freer flowing DynoMax muffs an sell the MFlows. I thought about keeping the MFlow tips, which I really like, but didn't want to hack up the muffs. And the Z06 tips are pretty darn nice, sort of like Corsa's on steroids. The Z muffs I got only had 1K miles on them.

Paul, the issue i have with that is your basicly lying to yourself,
like ricers do at the track gut their cars run 12.00's then put the 1000lbs back into the car and tell everybody it runs 12.0's it really runs 14's

I want full power all the time, the way it runs at the track and on the way back home, drive in-drive out.

Dominic, has to tune it right otherwise he will loose more power with the mufflers.LOL

That is AFTER you do the Exhaust Performance tricks.

Pete's cams are the BIG Ill FBI gang secret fun trick that everybody should experience at least once in their lives

The Revs are sooooo hot that I just the other day blew my impeller off my water pump and yesturday blew a SAMCO hose off my IH manifold

I am wondering if the FBI Gang has a member option for out of staters
For those who don't know Cliff has installed both Intakes and exhaust cams.

Enjoy Brotha
