i know there's a few that do in virgina, and I know of a guy with a 91 out in ohio that tracks his. Never met him though, a friend of mine with an Exigie S told me about him. I exchanged emails with him once but he didn't seem like he wanted to chat so I let it go.

Apparently the Lotus can get away from the zr-1 on street tires but if you add in slicks it helps to even things up

Anyone run any times, curious how competitive the Z is....Was watching RU fastner than a redneck...with all of the heavy detroit cars running, I wonder how the Z would compare ...(especially a stroker)

Ran mine on a road track here in Ontario a couple of years back. Running against a mixed bag. I ran faster times and higher top speeds than other C4s, several C5s a couple of C6s and one Porsche (968 I think). All were base (except the ZR-1) and you'd also have to take into account driver experience (or in my case possibly insanity ).

While I don't actually race, I have several times participated in the Touring sessions at certain Road America weekends, like the Brian Redman Classics (the old Chicago Historics). At noon they stop racing for about an hour and you can run your car for about 6-8 laps or so. 70 mph speed limit (so no one goes over about 110), no passing in the corners, obey safety car, etc. You can also stop in the pits and change drivers and you don't need a helmet. So usually a nice run on a beautiful 4 mile long road course in the Wisconsin hills. We also used to share a day at Road America with other groups like the Alfa club (once). Then some did serious class racing, but I still just ran Touring. Have't done anything like that for a while--Bob
