I know its early but my plans changed, so I am actually heading out to captree this morning....Anybody up, come by....

The choice of 4.10's and 3.45's is a matter of personal preference. Each has its advantages. As for me, I prefer the 4.10's and would never consider switching back. Street performance and the associated fun factor is significantly better!

Just got our 91 ZR-1 with 4:10 gears, and without knowing how a 3:45 performs, I can verify the fun factor with 4:10's. Almost scary in first and second gears. Have had many strong musclecars, but the ZR-1 is borderline insane. Probably need to get a Haibeck 368 one day too... [emoji28]

A friend just changed gears. He went lower. Kept the same tire size diameter.

What about controlling the speedometer to actual speed?

What does he need to do/buy to get it correct?

Marc Haibeck offers speedometer correction gears to swap out in the ZF. Not sure of his supply though. I think I lucked out and snagged his last set for 3:90 Speedo correction gears when I had my D44 rebuilt and upgraded. I believe the swap will get you to within +\- 2 mph of actual speed. I tried testing mine against one of those billboards that show you your speed and I was actually right on target for accuracy.
