I'm planning to build a single rear mount turbo for my Z in two years. Currently gathering data and knowledge before executing. I have so many ideas that are out of the box and you will not notice it up front, it will be hidden.

I would do it sooner but I am currently out of country, which means I have a lot of time to plan and research.

Tony,

Great to hear this new upgrade of yours and can't wait to see the progress!

I'm hoping to have 600hp in the coming weeks myself!

That is a great idea. rear mounted turbo will keep engine bay uncluttered. I have seen twin turbo versions on ls cars and they work quite well. I would not run too much boost and you will have some lag because of the length of the piping from front to rear etc..

Ed/come ride in my t turbo fidanza corvette/w lingenfelter motor/the only lag is until you let up and let the tires get traction/ls3 417cu/

of course you have a stroker twin turbo setup. You wont even feel the lag. I have a buddy with a twin turbo stock cube ls1 with turbo mounted in the rear of car and he said there was a difference compared to turbos installed in the front of the car opposed to the rear of the car.

Your big cube small block already has torque without the turbos so lag will not be present. I have seen some mustangs run staggered turbos one small one and a large one totally eliminate lag even in small cube engines. I bet your car hauls big time.
