LT-5 performance upgrades?
92 ZR-1,52,000 mi., LT-5 upgrades; considering DRM 500 and Haibeck 510hp. 350, and engine painting during rebuild. Anyone with experience, recommendations, feedback, pros and cons, etc. Greatly appreciated!

Virtually NO downside to the 500-510hp upgrade, including no change in gas mileage or drivability!
I'll post my dyno graphs when I get home.

If your like many of us that have an undying love for the LT5 and plan to keep for a while if not life I would highly suggest doing a 500 hp combo. It will be a renewed love.

Have some providers had better results than others? I'm only aware of, Doug Rippie and Marc Haibeck, are there others? Thanks again!

Im sure either one would do you a good job. i Personally would use Haibeck.He specializes in the LT5. Rippie(though im sure a good builder) is doing alot of other stuff. He did some work on my car and I was VERY happy with his work. attention to detail was spot on. He had a couple cars there when I dropped mine off getting the 5oo package and his work looked clean and meticulous. never heard a bad word from any forum member about him.

They are all reputable LT5 tuners. I have been dealing with Marc for 7-8 years and know of one ZR-1 done by Marc - 350/510hp package. Marc is an outstanding gentleman and his 510 hp package makes great car even more so.

You can also talk to Pete here on the forum. Has done some of the fastest ZRs.
He's also in Chicagoland.
