Default Speaker/Amp blown HELP

So everything was great on my car.....than the back right speaker started making a white noise which I was told was the amp that went bad. I am debating fixing it but does anyone know who can rebuild these in NJ? Or i got a quote for a double din alpine 7inch navi/bluetooth headunit and 4 alpine type s speakers for about $1400. Has anyone had this set up? bc the headunit only supplies 200 watts to the 4 speakers im wondering if it will be better than the stock bose. Also I don't know if i trust any shop to take out my headunit. I am afraid of the plastics breaking bc my interior is so mint and the piece with the power keys are expensive/hard to find. So i just uplugged the back right speaker so i can listen to clear music but im debating on doing a headunit. does anyone know of shops in NJ or close by that have experience with our cars installing headunits?

Marc Haibeck services these. Here is a link to his website about them. --Bob

If your rear speaker is making a static sound it is probably the amp. I had to replace both my fronts. You should be able to easily find them on ebay or thru any of the corvette sites for about $100.00 to $140.00 as well. Me being me with my O.C.D I think an aftermarket unit won't match the rest of the interior design.

I saw that heibeck rebuilds them and some corvette stereo website sells them rebuilt too im wondering if anyone used a double din with alpine type S speakers or similar. And how the system compares to stock bc i believe our bose has better bass. Navi and bluetooth would be nice but idk if i want to go aftermarket yet and i havent found a shop i know that has taken out radio of out cars. I hear stories of them breaking our plastics covers.

Most likely just a amp on bad speaker, more folks will chime in with Nissan replacement from junkyard or

I like to keep things stock-looking, if possible. So, last month I had all 4 of my amps rebuilt at Doctor Dons. When I bought my car, I had zero sound coming from the speakers. After getting the amps rebuilt, I had a slight amount of volume only. So, I sent my CDM to Doctor Don's for rebuild and now everything works great (except the CD player, maybe that's next).

Getting the speaker amps out was pretty simple...the CDM took about half an hour after watching quite a few YouTube tutorials.

SecondChance (Wazoo) put in used Nissan amps 3 years ago and they are still working perfect. Sent the head unit to Dr. Don to fix the CD player and he also added an Aux input for XM radio or Ipod, etc. The Aux input is located in my center console so everything looks stock.

Thanks for all the help guys. Its on me whether i want to fix just the amp or replace everything with the nav/bluetooth Headunit. Im still deciding as i unpluged it so it doesnt bother me that much. Im a pretty good mechanic but dont know much about electronics/wiring, and dont want to leave my baby with an amateur stereo installer.

Recently I installed a single DIN Kenwood receiver with a Metro kit so I could keep the Bose speakers. It sounds pretty good. It took a little plastic trimming to get the Kenwood in. I've heard a double DIN will fit, possibly with some clearancing.

One of my speakers was acting up (possibly from rain water). I bought a used amp from a member and that fixed it.
