I ain't that big. i was trying to hustle and get into the car before the camera stopped recording.

Yep, V1 is hardwired to the car. I use the other cord when I use other vehicles. I replaced the Ant a couple years ago. Fairly easy swap in the ZR-1 since you have the extra space in the back bumper.

Jeff, when you first started the car in your clip it sure sounded like you got some cam timing in there! Got any more of it idling?

Thought some of you might be interested in this video. Oblviously I love the B & B syetem too. It's a short video of my BEAST on some back Island roads. Poor quality camera work, but it'll at least give you a feel for the sound...has Watson Headers, 3 inch SS exhaust pioes and B & B triflows. No Cats or cross over pipes Click here to watch BEAST2-does-Whidbey-Island

Nice vid Bill! It does give ua feel for the b&b's with the drone in the cockpit ect. The beast does sound great in that one romp where u wind her up! Looks like that DRM BW is working well still! How many miles on the motor now have you? I am presuming that u have the Beast back togather and cruizin again! And we now know u wear glasses and just what ur forehead looks like! Those in car vids are funny that way.

Sweet! The video seems to crap out less than halfway through for me, though (even saved it locally).

Is it sort of loud? It kind of seemed like it by the relative lack of any other noise, road noise, wind noise, all seemed very quiet compared to the engine note. It's always hard to tell in a recording, though, as I can turn my speakers up or down to make it loud or quiet.

THAT VIDEO WAS MADE ON MY VERY INEXPENSIVE CAMCORDER. MY SON DUG UP ONE HE MADE WITH HIS VERY GOOD UNIT...night and day difference in sound quality. It's only about 14 seconds long but the quality of sound inside the car more represents what it's really like. Son Dave nearly lost his camcorder when I floored BEAST going ~30 mph in 2nd gear. When I bought my car, it had a Flowmaster system on it. Couldn't stand the resonance. The original system was back on in no time. I would be interested in another aftermarket system, but only after I had ridden in the car to see how it sounds from the inside.

Bryan, the entire Snake Skinner package Van Dorn did on BEAST 1 ('90 # 596 ZR1) was driven about 18K miles before it was totaled when the tree t-boned it in a Jacksonville tornado. All of the drive train and other Snake Skinner goodies were salvaged and used in Van Dorn's building of BEAST2 ('93 #211 ZR1 was used as a donor car).
Doug drove this one about 38K miles before he died and it was stolen from a consignment lot where Doug's widow had placed it for sale. It probably has close to 60K miles on the LT5 by now and it runs like I stole it. After the theft it was quickly recovered and again shipped to VanDorn to repair the LT5 motor that someone had started to dismantle. All of the parts were in the back of the car and repair was relatively minor but Jim VD "wanted it good as new" so he did a lot more to make it "perfect" for me to purchase.
