Default GS calipers

I'm putting the '96 GS front calipers on my '90 ZR-1. Does anybody know if they use the same size pads? How about brake lines? I've noticed that '93 and '94-'95 lines have different part numbers. What lines would I need to use with these calipers and whats different?

Pretty sure the GS calipers are idential to J55 (stock 1990 to 1995 ZR-1 calipers).

The pads are the same and I've never seen someone mention a problem with the hydraulics. I'd use the hydraulics for the MY of the car. There is a difference in the hoses. The later hoses have a 90* tube and then the banjo and the early has a wedge at the end of the rubber for the banjo with no tube. Did you buy new braided lines? VB&P it seems has the incorrect image on their web-site for the early and have been shipping the later MY lines. Does it make a difference? Don't know.

You have new banjo washers?

I have the GS calipers on my car, got them from DRM and they have SS pistions and I replaced the lines with SS lines. really happy with how the brakes feel now.

Last summer DRM didn't have stainless pistons for the J55. Do you know if the J55 and GS cal. use the same piston?

I liked the way DRM stainless lines fit if you go that route, but I don't have GS.

Pistons are the same '88 - end of production! Pistons are 1.50 for the fronts.

I just looked at the DRM line package and the difference with DRM and the others is the DRM is NOT orientated to the rail on the caliper but just uses an adapter to take their lines to the fitting in the caliper. It does NOT use a banjo. I think I'd prefer the banjo but does it make a difference? Don't know.

I havn't ordered the lines yet. Wanted to make sure the 90 lines would work with the GS calipers. Do I need to order new banjos also. Whats the recommendation for stainless lines on a '90 with GS calipers?

The pads are 100% the same as your stock J55s
