Default Brake Pad suggestions

Looking for a pad a little more aggressive than stox pad, with not too much brake dust, wheels are stox, calipers are stox, just weekend driving and occasional drag, mile or road course racing, maybe a few times a year

Hawk HPS pads and a good flush & bleed of the
brake fluid will do the job

Happily running HPS on C5 calipers and rotors, but I will admit that they dust a lot. Still better than ceramics on the front and cracked rotors from too much heat.

I used Hawks HPS pads on my '92 and thought they were real good for autocross and "aggressive" street use.

I will switch to them on my '95, when it is time to change.

Joe,

What would u use for your Z06? The stock pads are horrid for dust. They stop fine but...

I still use stock GM pads for my Z06. Actually at 46,000 miles I am still on my second set of pads for the car and I have owned it seven years now.

With the first set, I tracked it once and autocrossed it a bunch. The second set went on around 30k or so. I haven't been driving it much the last few years, kids are getting older and my time is spent elsewhere.

The dust doesn't bother me because typically after it is driven, it is washed, covered and put back in the garage.

I know this threads a couple years old, cudos to the search function, but has anyone tried Hawks newer High Performance Street 5.0 or new for 2015 Street/Race pads? Both seem to perform as well if not better than the HPS's with less noise/dust, at least from Hawks description. I'm just looking to freshen up my stock brakes while I do a few other things to my 94. Got a set of Baer Decellerators on the way as well. Thanks for your input!
