No question that the ZR-1 set off the whole factory Corvette widebody craze.

Eh, the c7s are nice, but the rear? No thanks, too busy. I will say when I first saw a c7z06 in red with black wheels, I wasn't sure if it was real. Looked like hell on earth and like it was from another place. Mean looking car.

A c4 ZR-1 still has one of the best if not the best rear of the corvettes. Low, flat, wide, and curvy.

When I first saw the C7 I thought, Uh-oh. People aren't going to like Camaro taillights on a Corvette.

I was wrong.

I happen to like the taillamps. Interesting to watch them on video as they are actually flickering or that's the fps of the video.

Me, too, now. It didn't take long for me to come around. Maybe 2 days? :-)

And, holy cow - Can you believe the performance level they put into new Corvettes! Just wow. At Road Atlanta I was passed by a Z06 so fast it was almost shocking. He probably had the A/C on.

Speaking about derrieres, I sure wish there was some kind of great looking (and inexpensive) rear spoiler/wing for C4's. I haven't seen any (except for purpose built race cars, which would probably look silly on a street car).

I'm in this camp too. The C7 looks overdone. I like the simplicity of the C4's lines. I also like C2s. Under the hood, nothing compares to the LT5. Later models are too much Tupperware. Just my opinion.

I think this particular "nice a$$" contest is an unfair fight; the C7 in the pic should probably be disqualified, due simply to those silly stripes. Stingrays just look like rolling cartoons with those installed...so out of place on an expensive, world-class sports car. I ditched those cheesy Stingray emblems on the sides and the Corvette lettering on the tail, too. Classes up the place. Even if you clean the junk off the Stingray, though, still hard to beat a C4 ZR-1 rear end.
