Definitely a good read. It is amazing that a car that is 25 years old is still a fast car by today's standards. Just my 2cents.

That 9,200 rev is something to hear.
I don't get mine quite that high but I like to hit 7,200 or so when I get the chance...almost every time I'm in it.

Thanks, Jim

For 3 of the last 4 years in a row, the LT5/ZR-1s have held the team trophy for the fastest 3 car aggregate time (team FBI - Crown Point Corvette Club Annual Shootout).

Now days, the C4s with that ZR-1 badge gets silent respect when one comes to the line. many a C5, C5Z, C6 and C6 ZO6 and a few ZR1s have been drowned out and blown out by the shriek of the LT5s!

But, it wasn't always that way! Back in 2008, before the 'pushrod crowd' knew better, the buzz in the bleachers was quite different from what it is now when one of the ZR-1s comes to the line. No more is there the boisterous prediction of the outcomes of the contest. Instead, a lot of lip-biting and crossed fingers prevail, often the shaking of heads in disbelief when the contest is over!

Yeah... For me, part of the fun is the stealth factor - still surprises the heck outta folks!
