Thanks for posting that Glenn. The Cromarty's must be up there in age now. A buddy of mine dated they're daughter Merill , Renee and I would double date with them.

Bridgehampton , Islip , Westhampton , New York National remember them all. Raced at the last 3 quite a few times. The story's I could tell. Phil was a force to be dealt with at those tracks.

I didn't know about all of those tracks, only Bridgehampton. I've always felt extremely fortunate to be able to race at The Bridge before it went away. Lots of fun memories, including taking the ferry from CT, and changing a clutch late at night in the sand.

I'm embarrassed to ask (I probably should know), who's Phil? An old, or I should say, experienced racer among us?

First ZR1 Gathering I went to was when the Buick GSCA Club had the track . The ZR guys wanted to get a few runs in. Phil was there and introduced yours truly to a man named John , he was a humble and kind guy. At the time I had no idea who he (John) was. John was testing a red TT ZR1 and having trouble controlling the boost. Phil was banging away on his 415 , that may have been the same year that John ran Smith's 415 white rocket. Both Smiths and Phils runs can be found on YouTube. Later that day we were all beat and JL invited all back to his bus for a few cold ones and lots of laughs. Man the stories..........................................

to all !
