Weather was perfect (if a little warm, but a good breeze & lowish humidity = comfortable). Great food! Beautiful carz - especially nice was Joe Thomas' stunning COPPER 95, and -=Jeff=- D's awesome BLACK/RED-BLACK beauty. And, of course a bit of impromptu repair - Joe's hood latch (driver's side) stuck & needed an adjustment - what better time and place for that issue to pop up, huh? And, of course the shop tour to get caught up on all the goings on at Haibeck Automotive. And Pete P and Bob Gillig were there too. Pete gave us a report on his latest upgrade - his closed deck 391 cid debute. Good time had by all!

Re: Marc Haibeck's BBQ this SUNDAY 5-27
Sounds like it was a great one as usual. would have enjoyed seeing Joe's copper car. Sorry I missed it but my wife committed me to a Cubs game a couple days before with friends without my knowledge. I am sure that never happened to anyone else. Oh well, as they used to say in the Cubs world, "wait til next year".--Bob

Here's a picture of the side gill. I took a '95 gill panel and removed the fins/tines for a smooth look. And the hood is opening properly now! I was trying to show off some of Marc’s other work to the car, he powder coated the top end.
