Default Ignition Switch (On lower Column)

IS this the right part #?

ACDELCO D1405B {#01990116, 1990116}

I assume so, but some places say it is not compatible with our cars yet this is the parts number on Rock Auto

This is from the infamous White Racing site. They may be a lot of things but I have never known them to be wrong on their parts id. He shows the same part number although the color of the part is diffent. 1990116.

http://www.whiteracingproducts.com/i...oducts_id=1477

I'm not saying to buy from WR just trying to identify the correct part.

Buy "LOCAL" and just use the 1990116 as a reference for whoever you choose. At this point I doubt that other than buying a confirmed NOS by date code you'll be getting OE quality.

yeah concerned about quality.. I don't need it but trying to 'fix' my chime, it works when it wants, only thing left is the switch as I believe it to have something to do with the circuit

Only one in the car.. The Key, left in ignition/Seatbelt/Lights left on..
I know it works, as does the old one

I confirmed the outputs are changing coming out of the CCM. only thing I think is that there is a ground issue with the chime. but the ignition switch Must have something to do with it.

I normally would not care about the chime but my DD has auto lights and sometimes if I drive the vette to work early I have the parking lights on, but when I get to work I forget to turn them off, the chime is a nice reminder, so I would like it to work

I understand "only" but there are 2 inputs and the CHIME is SLOW, FASTER and FASTEST dependent upon what is commanded by the CCM.

Yes, Both are intermittent.. I google search yielded a suggestion to check and resolder some pieces in the chime module..

I will do that when time allows

As inexpensive as the chime module is I believe I'd buy another and do the testing of one on the bench before fishing the one from the dash. GM# 25518745. Maybe someone has one just lying around from a previous replacement. I don't!
