Don't worry, whoever bought it for $5500 will spend
the remainder of the $121000 the 1st time he takes it to
the Mercedes dealer for any kind of maintenance or repairs!!!

True statements all, I used to have a E39 M5 and it was expensive to work on, so a V12 Benz will probably be even higher. However the S550 is a really nice car, if you about have 3 - 5 K a year for repairs its a great deal. After 3 years you spend accord money on one of the best cars in the world. The trick is you need to find the right person to work on it or do it your self.

5500 in parts so far on my V12 TT 05 Sl600; 55K mile car

doing the 2nd ABC pump in 2 months(Dealer charges 7K for the repair)

Coil packs are 1400 a piece 750

24 spark plugs...dealer is 1200

Shocks are 500 rebuilt

Intercooler Pump is 1200 at the dealer, did it myself 120

valve body rebuild, did it myself $43 1200 at the dealer

If I didn't do the work the bill would be 15-20K right now

Insane power, built my own intake so should be 630-650hp and 700-730ft lbs

In New York City you are probably buying your own parts back!

Lee, at the end of the day, you are still driving a SL600 Mercedes. Wife wants a SL55 or SL65 once I get the second lift in the garage we will be pulling the trigger. Black/Red or White/Cognac.
