Default Best Place for Negative Battery Cable?

Seeing as how Jerrys doesn't stock the negative battery cable, where do you suggest I find one? Anything unique about them?

Just a few thoughts. One, the head of the bolt that goes into the battery is becoming rounded. Two, I've had some nasty failure of old negative cables in cars years gone by. Three, as I'm starting to figure out the electrical glitch affecting the alternator, a good negative cable, with a solid ground, seems a safe bet.

Is there a reason I shouldn't be?

The bolt can be corrected with a set of dorman 60307 terminals. If the cable does not look bad and terminal do not show corrosion it?s probably good.🤷🏻

I agree. If the cable passes visual inspection, just replace the bolt.

Walmart, $2.37 for 2 terminals, or get a bolt from the hardware store and maybe a washer or two if the bolt is too long. Easy fix and no need for a new cable.

Sorry, made a mistake, it's $2.27 for two.

Unless you feel like spending $3.99 for one.

The side post battery bolt are on the shelf at any auto parts store. Buy a 5/16 battery wrench while there.

Yes, to all of the above posters.
Bolts and WRENCH!

We typically replace the bolts with ones that have a terminal and bolt on them enabling a permanent battery tender connection with the wire hanging through the fender gill openings.

This simplifies battery charge maintenance.
