Make sure you drain just a bit of coolant to get the coolant level below the top of the Injector Housings. I also Plug TB coolant at the top of the Injector Housings making it easy to pull the plenum without messing with coolant the next time you pull the plenum. You also have to block the coolant flow from the TB to the top metal tank in front of the passenger side (I placed a plug in the rubber hose).

Good Luck

Carter makes a nice plug for that rubber hose.
Was that a plug for Carter, or a plug from Carter? Huh.

Welcome. Be sure to post after you get those secondaries fixed, because I think "pleasantly surprised" doesn't even come close to what you're going to feel. More like "HOLY SH*T! ..... Now,THAT'S what ZR-1's are all about.

I wouldn't start ripping out the secondary system before you actually get it functioning right. Because unless you're doing some serious porting and intake work, I'm not sure there is an actual performance advantage.
Mine's been functioning fine with no maintenance for 23 years. Just sayin'

Best of luck.

i am considering the disabling of the system not for a performance advantage, just the reliability associated with it..i hear of no real down side from the system disablement ,other than perhps some low rpm torque loss ..which seems negligible..i dont race, minute numerical advantages dont matter to me.. push me back hard in the seat and im happy..so either way the plenum has to come off..
