Yes...if you look a bit and wait for specials... Direct Lift makes an excellent 4 post lift which is certified under the newer more stringent processes>>

Take a look at these two distributors (and they compete with each other):

I purchased the Direct Lift Pro 8 and am VERY pleased with it>>

And here it is installed>>

Now for the price range you are indicating....you will not get the option light weight aluminum ramps (lift comes with steel ramps and they weigh 48 lbs vs 18 for the aluminum ones and the sliding hydraulic jack which allows you to lift the car off the wheels>>>

I will not need to raise the door, clears the post and with the car in backwards is not an issue. I look as storage cost as giving away $, would rather put the same $ into a lift. Would have to be very very cheap to go the storage route.

I know a 4 post is great for storage but what about working on the car are they not just a pain in the ***??

I can get a jack and jackstands under that car on the 4 post I know that so I don't need the 1K jack that sits under the car nice but unessesary in my eyes.

I want a lift to do work on my cars but im hesitant to get a 2 post at this time due to the installation and Im not at a perminate residence.

So in that case a 4 post is the all around better choice but I still want to know your guys opinion on working on the car on this lift and I mean suspension, engine, tranny, exhuast work you name it!

Not to hi-jack this thread but you guys/gals seem to be using lifts for storage......I need something to just drive up on and get off the ground about two feet to change oil and work underneath. Kind of like Phrogs has in mind. What do you guys/gals use for that?

I saw something called "Quick-Lift" at another member's home. It looks like what you may be talking about. It's not a "lift" like what these guys are showing, but rather a set up like a car length set of ramps that you can raise up off of the floor once the car is on it. I just don't know how high up off of the floor it actually raises the car, sorry.
