If it is enabled and the valve begins to malfunction, oil use skyrockets. The first cal must have enabled the valve and it failed. Obviously, when "mitsumark" changed to the cal he got from "LGAFF", he got a cal with the OVIAV disabled, again, so oil use went back down.
