The last time I went we had a Thursday road trip to the Heaven Hills Distillery Bourbon Heritage Center. About a two hour drive (looks like about 80 miles or so) on nice winding non-interstate roads then lunch and a tour of the distllery with tasting afterwards. I enjoyed that.
