Re: Mason Dixon TnT 11/12 11am-4pm
Hey Dom,
None of us had a tool to check that. As you can see by the pictures, the track is in the mountains, though I bet it's less than 1000' elevation. Presumably the DA early in the day was lower than later in the day, as the temperature warmed up. Yet the trap speeds were generally lower earlier than they were later as the track "came in". Temps were high 40's to 50F in the morning, and it probably got up to about 60F by the time we left, it was quite nice in the afternoon. I don't quite understand that, except I guess there is some amount of time where power is not being delivered, as you get out from the line the prep is gone, lots of squirrely rear ends on the 1-2 shift. Though Phil and Jim were on DR's, so no problems on shifting, and their trap speeds went up as the day went on too.

Re: Mason Dixon TnT 11/12 11am-4pm
I just wanted to say "THANKS" to Bob for staying with keeping this event alive after it got rained out. Also thanks to Jim Voter for prompting me to go out for another run or two. It was a great time and good to see all the ZR-1s out running. Phil, congrats on the fastest time of the day for the Zs. Dave, the dymags look cool and that white Zr-1 was absolutely beautiful. I hope everyones drive home was uneventful and I certainly enjoyed hanging out with everyone. Jim, those last two runs were a blast. I hope we can do it again. Bob, thanks for posting the videos. Best wishes for a great Thanksgiving to all!
Mike Ps: Dave, I think you owe Phil a new pair of underwear |
