Default Racing Shift Knobs

I haven't found many aftermarket shift knobs that fit the C4 (especially if you want the correct shift pattern). My Facebook feed had been bombarded with advertisements from Raceseng recently so I decided to give them a look. Their knobs use adaptors to match any thread pattern. I bit the bullet during their July 4th sale and purchased the "Contour" knob in black texture finish. The knob arrived today and I am very impressed. Nice packaging (can reuse to store the factory knob), easy to install, identical shade of black to the factory knob, works with the reverse lockout, sits a hair lower, and improved shifter feel due to the 500g weight.

I use a rubber collar around the reverse lockout to keep it from rattling (pic 3). The gap is identical with the Raceseng knob so I didn't have to make a new collar.

Looks good on there. I used the titanium shift knob out of my old subaru sti. I just drilled out the old threads and re-taped it. fits just like your knob above.

After buying and sending back many " reproduction" C4 knobs because of the crap quality, I just went and bought an OEM C5 knob. Screwed right on and looks as if it were stock.

This sounds trashy but hear me out:

I got tired of not being able to find a ball that would fit and still work with the reverse lockout. I tried a few different ones but after having no luck I ended up making a shift knob out of an old pool ball that I found under my water heater. Looks silly but works very well. However...

It's very nice to know somebody stumbled on an "off the shelf" knob out there that fits and works properly. Do they offer any other types that fit our cars?

I assume all of the knobs listed on the link in my original post will fit. Several styles available with several finish options and your choice of engraved shift pattern or blank. Expensive, but I'm happy with the results. I previously bought a cheap Twisted Shifterz knob that was the wrong color (said white but was ivory), the shift pattern didn't align properly when tight, and was too small in diameter for my hand.
