Well the Street Shop Mod is on and up and running so to speak. Wilwoods 6 piston narrowlites up front and rears now with the parking brake retained. Will WILWOODS fit under a set of 17 inch FIKSE FM-5s? Yes they will

...but what about the parking brake? I`ve got 2 calipers in the rear: a Porsche caliper and the oem caliper just for the parking brake function.

Go to www.streetshopinc.com to see in the corvette braking section how the OEM parking brake function is retained. This is a solid billet direct fit unit using an old school drum brake internal style with C5 OEM rear caliper brake mount points. This replaces the need for an additional rear brake caliper in order to retain the parking brake function. This setup makes it a little cleaner than having to have two Brake calipers per rear wheel which was at one time the only way back in the day to keep the parking brake function. This also ends the debate on not being able to upgrade to bigger brakes within a 17inch set of FIKSE FM-5s. Folks now know they no longer have to upgrade to an 18inch set or larger. A few of us here have done this mod now. However all with different wheels. I know Dom has done this on Rosa Nero with C6 brakes and C6 wheels.

I think either setup is fine as they both achieve the same purpose. This looks cleaner and I was impressed with the billet work from Streetshop. The Mr. Parker solution IS a viable solution and I have seen it on DRM and Callaway's back in the day so you are in good company. I was going that route until I saw this setup.

I am out with my boss all week and will take care of some more shots this weekend. She needs a through cleaning as it has been raining out here a lot in AZ this month (NO COMPLAINTS) but she is a dirty girl

For now just the money shot lol which I thought was kinda fun in motion. I found a local guy who really knew his Wilwood setups to include hoses and fittings. Now at least I have a match front and rear and the 380 stops on a dime now. I will try to complete my last mod but I'm fiscally recovering from this 2K mod lol AND the radio mod last week.

The next mod is 100% for one reason only. Comfort in my 91 DD and the 90 is still in the paint shop getting some touch up work and the targa top painted and skunked..... Best time of year to do these things before its 119 out. You know... just another day in Iraq or Kuwait

I'm moving my Baer Eradispeeds rotors to the 90 rear this weekend or next as well. One cars cast off is the others upgrade lol
