Greetings organizers,
Do we have any dates and locations for this wonderful event upcoming in approx six months? Some of us have to schedule PTO way in advance.

Robert, Did you mean to say Cherokee NC? Thanks for the dates. I have a family reunion in northern KY the Sat. following BG. Looks like I will petition for two weeks off. I will have fresh brakes and tires and a bunch of tools. No breakdown again for me in 2019!

The Gathering will run from May 15 - 18. Still working the details of the event - will continue with the track time again this year for sure. We are looking to change up the venue this year to include at least one other driving event that everyone can join in..... and always looking for your ideas for seminars and activities members want.
Regards,
Mark

Mark, how about a road trip driving event? Quite a few years ago we had a road trip to a distillery. It was about an hour and a half of back roads driving, stop for lunch then a tour of the distillery finishing up in the tasting room, then back to the Holiday Inn. Can't remember exactly which distillery but it was very interesting to tour the cask storage buildings. (It was one whose history included most of their storage buildings burning in a fire and dumping whiskey into the nearby creek, which then burned for three days). Anyway it was one of the best events I recall and I think it is high time to do it again. --Bob

Bob, Ted briefed the Board about his intent to have a driving event/road trip at the Gathering this year - in conjunction with our 2019 theme - ‘The Legend Lives’ - focused on those who drive their ZR-1s and ‘Keep the Legend Alive’. This may include a drive to the distillery and/or a road rally. This is in addition to the track time we run on the MSP track. More to follow in the next few weeks.

Oh boy! Yes! This will be year 3 for Nina and I and still no ZR1 to bring..... but hey, you all have been so very kind and welcoming to us that this get together is a yearly MUST! Already had the time off approved as of the middle of last year! This time we plan on being present on day one! Will you all be sending the emails out early like the last couple of years?

I have to be in NJ for my Uncle's 95th birthday for a family dinner Saturday night May 11 and a family breakfast morning of the 12th. Will be able to head south after the breakfast on the 12th.

Glad to hear things are rolling along, Dad and I are planning on attending again. I’m in the same boat as Young1 in regards to needing to put in for vacation....I’ll keep checking in to keep updated. Cant wait to see everyone again.....one suggestion, year before last the get togethers we had in the parking lot in the evenings was fun. Hanging out, having a few beers, telling stories and learning about everyone was one of the highlights.
