While in Carlisle, I lent Mark from Mirrock my car and he questioned it, so I figured there really was a problem.
I thought it might be motor mounts. It sounds like they are a pain to do, and hard to come by.

I was ready to go to a maintenance day in wazoo land for some help with this.

I mentioned it to Marc H in Carlisle. He said the C beam was loose.
Guess what? The C beam was loose.
Dropped the exhaust and tightened the bolts per Marc's instructions.
It's raining, so I haven't driven it yet. - Steve
Always good to have Marc around for a little advice. Have you installed Bill B's C beam plates? I understand that helps. Fortunately I never ran into this problem on my old Z's, but maybe that's because Marc was maintaining them and I just never knew of a problem. Glad you got yours figured out. --Bob
