I'm quite familiar with the ZF S6-40. Not only did I own a '95 for 19 years, but back in the day, I wrote a number of technical articles about the S6-40 which were based on a mid-90s interview session I did with GM transmission engineer, Bill Zabritski (now retired) and people from ZF North America.

I also have known Bill Boudreau for a number of years. I did a story on his rebuild work and have visited his shop in Arizona a couple of times.

Bill's business is one of only two facilities left which can actually repair an S6-40. No "ordinary trans shop" will be able to fix your transmission.
