Re: Transmission or clutch ?groan? sound?

Thanks. I will have to pay better attention to when it happens. I believe maybe only when cold too. Mine is like almost like the sound is blowing your noses. Glad to hear you got rid of your sound...

Re: Transmission or clutch ?groan? sound?

Thanks. 100% agreed. I?m not changing the clutch because of a groan. I can live with it, just want to know what is it and if I can mitigate it. It?s just weird. Hell, I moan and groan every morning...

Re: Transmission or clutch ?groan? sound?

Thanks. Yeah, I remember when I rebuilt my more and changed the clutch in my 90Z. I have two different bushing/bearings in stock so maybe it?s time to consider doing it while I install the 4.11...

Re: Transmission or clutch ?groan? sound?

Thanks for your feedback. Damn, I don?t look forward to replacing the clutch, but it has gone through some road track abuse and getting up there in age regardless. I don?t know history about the...

Transmission or clutch ?groan? sound?

Hello all,

My car is a 95 with 32K miles and I?ve always noticed what I can best describe as soft groan sound only in first gear when letting out the clutch. Has anyone ever experienced this?

Re: Radiator Cap

I know stock is 17 lb cap, but I have been running this Mr.Gasket one for as long as I can remember, but they were half the price then. It is 16 lbs and never had a problem. If you only want stock...

As GC stated in the thread above, email Andrew directly and see if he will still do one. I am glad I have one and it is still awesome today. Best wishes! 🤙🏼

Re: Issue with underbody pictures

IMHO, if the dealer of private seller is not willing to provide photos of the underbody pictures I would move on. It is not that difficult to do for a prospective buyer and they should be willing to...

Re: Driveshaft removal for speedo gear swap. C-Beam out or not?

While you are at it I recommend you just get a set of C beam plates and install at the same time. It is not difficult to move the C beam out of the way if needed.

Re: Rear Differential Gear Swap

OP,
My apology for asking on your post but maybe someone else has the same question?

I found a shop in Japan to do the gear swap. What else do I need to provide the shop besides R&P gear set? I...

Hey Bob! Always good to hear from you. I guess I have not thought that far out, but if you ask me this question when I am 70 I'm pretty sure I wont have my Z by then so I totally understand. By...

Re: A question for the longtime owners.

Fortunately for me I never think about selling my Z because I don?t like anything newer, especially the C8 of all of them. Maybe you could rent a C8 to see if you REALLY even want one. So you would...

Hey Prof Phil,
I remember you helped me out with the list of parts to rebuilt and do 4.10s in my 90Z many many moons ago. I took the assembly out to a machine shop back then to have a pro do the...
