Re: Wanted: 1991-1995 ZR-1, $30k budget, Central MD

Probably not appropriate for me to reveal the person's name, and I certainly have no information whatsoever if he's thinking of selling, so with any luck someone from Wazoo might respond to this...

Re: Wanted: 1991-1995 ZR-1, $30k budget, Central MD

Since you are in the area, check in with the WAZOO (Washington Area Z Owners Organization) group in your state. I know of one very nice blue '93 there but don't have any idea if the owner might be...

Re: High/Hanging Idle

As Dominic suggested earlier, it might be partly mechanical and might benefit from the addition of the helper spring he suggested earlier in the thread. Can't hurt and it can't cost much from Marc....

Re: High/Hanging Idle

Out of curiosity, have you had a chance to talk with Marc Haibeck about this? If not he may have some helpful advice. Or maybe Corey since you are in Texas. Just a thought. --Bob

Re: FS 1991 #1,048 white w/ red interior 59k miles

You've got a great Mom! A long, log, long time ago, just out of college, I owned a 1968 Hemi Roadrunner with a 4-spd. On my way to California with it, my Mom accompanied me to Detroit, where she had...

Re: New Tires and Alignment

When I bought my '95 it initially (2012) it had Sumitomos on it. I could never get rid of wheel imbalance vibrations around 70 or so. When in Bowling Green in 2015 I visited Jim Van Dorn at his shop...

Re: Brake Booster Check Valve

Ah yes, good old WD-40. As a friend used to say, "Where would we be without WD?" Here's a old ad for that famous product.--Bob

Re: New Tires and Alignment

Yep when I did the '95, the rears had to be 335s. But they were great tires after the Sumis.--Bob

Re: New Tires and Alignment

Charlie, I am big fan of the Michelin Pilot Sport all seasons. When the OEM Pilot Sport run flats on my 2016 Z06 wore out at 20k miles, I replaced them with A/S PS3 + ZPs (the predecessor to the...

Re: Gathering 2025 and MR11

[QUOTE=ZR1North;345658]

Or just call them directly at 270 745-0088 and ask for reservations. I always book rooms that way; I used to run a hotel company and I always liked to see how the staff...

Re: Gathering 2025 and MR11

Craig, if you fly in from Japan, I will bring and gift to you that bottle of D-51 Sake that you helped on translating. Don't know that it would be drinkable, but still it would be fun to take back to...

Re: GM Authority Showing the C4 ZR-1 Some Love

My new experimental cloning machine seems to be working fairly well, although it needs a little tweaking on sneakers. --Bob

Re: ZR-1 Registry Magazine 1995 for auction

That issue commemorated the 1995 gathering to celebrate the production of the last ZR-1, #448. We had 600 people about about 300+ ZR-1s there. There was a short parade from the factory to the museum...

Re: Full power all the time?

It is normal on Marc's chips to have the power key on all the time, as well as turning on the radiator fans at 205 degrees, among other things. But good to check with him for all the features.--Bob

Re: Bringing the Champ back to fighting condition

One Bob to another, I will say that I agree with you. Dielectric grease should not be used in electrical connections because it does not conduct electricity. Should be used to keep moisture out. I...

Re: 777 mile '19 ZR1 sells for $252k on BaT!

Gee, if I had only traded in my 2016 Z06 on a 2019 ZR-1. And not driven it, of course. Oh well. There's a reason why people don't ask me for investment advice.

While I loved my C4 ZR-1s, and given...

While I never saw this on my catless '95 or my catted '93, perhaps it could be just from carbon buildup that is finally flaking off. While not really related, I know that on the inside top of my...

Did you try Google? I found a few LT5 emblems available although they were different colors. Would be easy to repaint in your colors though, especially being off the car. On my Quasar BLue '93 I...
