Thanks ... I assumed (dangerous, I know) that your Ruby was also a Z. btw, I really like your car tags ... seems you're almost "obsessed"

This is my first long trip with my Z. Can anyone suggest what tools to bring along and spare parts,
.
Thanks,

Not sure about spare parts and tools, you can't bring your whole toolbox and spare parts inventory with you. Whatever you bring for spare parts, won't be what craps out... But traveling in a group is always a good thing when in a 20+ year old car. (and we've got that covered!)
An AAA card is not a bad idea either.

FWIW: I carry a scissor jack, tire plug kit (a good "gun" type w/mushroom plugs), a can of Green Slime, tire guage, wire cutters (to pull out the nail or whatever), a small 12v compressor, gloves, flashlite and a breaker bar w/deep socket (for jack and lugs). It all fits in the compartment behind the right seat. Unless I tear a hole in a tire, with this maybe I can keep going. Check the air in your spare too, even though I'd try to avoid using it if at all possible.

See ya Sunday!

What Doug said ... plus

if you have a spare serpentine belt, it's a good idea to keep it in the compartment behind the seat.

I usually carry a small array of sockets, extensions, ratchets, wrenches, torx bits, etc. I picked up a couple of plastic tool boxes from Sears that hold most of what I need and are compact enough to carry easily ... I believe they are compact truck boxes Item # 00965117000P Model # 65117.

The nice thing about this trip is the number of knowledgeable "mechanics" available should anyone need some help.

Big John
Last nite you said you couldn't make the trip, this morning you're
coming in your motorhome and trailer?
Where did you get the trailer? Will the LM be on it?
